McAnney, Esposito
& Kraybill Associates, Inc. was founded in 1982 by Susan
Kraybill, a former New York City attorney recruiter. After transferring
operation of the firm to Principals Maura McAnney, Esq. and Valerie
Esposito, Esq. in the early 1990s, Ms. Kraybill assumed a consulting
role which she maintains today.
Maura Newcomb McAnney, Esq.
graduated from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor
Relations in 1984. In 1986, Ms. McAnney graduated from Syracuse
University College of Law after participating in an accelerated
program and having been a Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal
of Law and Commerce. After graduation, Ms. McAnney joined Eckert,
Seamans, Cherin & Mellott's Labor and Employment Department.
In January of 1989, Ms. McAnney joined Babst, Calland, Clements
& Zomnir's Litigation Department where she continued practicing
in the labor and employment area and, in addition, gained significant
experience in commercial and environmental litigation. Ms. McAnney
had significant recruiting responsibility while at both firms.
Valerie Merti Esposito, Esq. graduated magna cum laude
from Allegheny College in 1982, where she was a member of Phi
Beta Kappa. In 1985, she graduated from Duquesne University School
of Law. While at Duquesne, she was invited to be a member of the
Law Review and also served as an editor of Juris. In 1985, Ms.
Esposito joined Eckert, Seamans, Cherin & Mellott as a member
of the Litigation Department, concentrating in complex commercial
litigation. In 1988, Ms. Esposito joined Babst, Calland, Clements
& Zomnir's Corporate Department and practiced in the areas
of mergers and acquisitions, real estate, franchising, intellectual
property and general corporate law. Ms. Esposito was on the recruiting
committees of both Eckert, Seamans and Babst, Calland and was
extensively involved in attorney recruitment and hiring on behalf
of both firms.
Lucy Levis, Esq. graduated in 1982 from Georgetown University
School of Nursing. After working as a registered nurse for several
years, Ms. Levis attended Southwestern University School of Law
where she was Managing Editor of the Law Review. She graduated
magna cum laude in 1988. Following graduation, Ms. Levis practiced
bankruptcy and commercial litigation at boutique law firms in
both California and Pittsburgh.
Susan E. Kraybill trained and worked as a professional
recruiter in New York City, first with the oldest and largest
search firm specializing in the placement of attorneys, Wells
Legal Search, Inc., where she rose to become a department head;
later, with Catalyst Legal Resources, Inc., consistently top-rated
for professionalism by clients and candidates alike, for which
she established and managed a branch office in Atlanta. In 1982,
Ms. Kraybill formed Kraybill Associates, and began performing
legal search services from Pittsburgh. In the early 1990s, Ms.
McAnney and Ms. Esposito joined with Susan Kraybill to form McAnney,
Esposito & Kraybill Associates, Inc.
